Amazon India Waives Fee To Help 10 Lakh Weavers, Artisans, Women Entrepreneurs

Amazon India on Wednesday said it is broadening a 100 per cent SoA (Sell on Amazon) charge waiver for 10 weeks, a move planned for aiding more than 10 lakh craftsmen, weavers and ladies business visionaries who are a piece of its 'Karigar' and 'Saheli' programs. 

"The 'Represent Handmade' activity is planned for aiding more than 10 lakh business people, including craftsmen, weavers, and ladies business people, bounce back from the financial interruption brought about by COVID-19," Pranav Bhasin, Head - MSME Empowerment and Seller Experience, Amazon India said. 

In excess of eight lakh craftsmen and weavers from the Amazon Karigar program and over 2.8 lakh ladies business people from Amazon Saheli program will profit by the 100 per cent SoA charge waiver for 10 weeks, he included. 

The charge waiver will likewise be accessible to the new dealers joining the two projects, Bhasin included. 

The organization, which contends with Walmart-sponsored Flipkart and others in India, has likewise made a 'Represent Handmade' retail facade to help create client interest for the privately made, carefully assembled items from Karigar and Saheli venders.
