Akiva Superfoods Raised USD 2mn in Series A Funding

It plans to introduce new expansions across the year with the target of launching one new product category each month until the end of FY 19-20

Akiva Superfoods, a young, conscious and mindful Indian company with a range of innovative, healthy wellness food products raised approximately USD 2mn in Series A funding led by Alkemi Venture partner.

Akiva Superfoods’ has introduced superfood preparations that are unique, convenient and easy to consume. The products are a combination of quality ingredients at an affordable price range, adding more power to everyday meals. The brand has an ever-expanding multi-category portfolio of everyday staples with an innovative twist. It plans to introduce new expansions across the year with the target of launching one new product category each month until the end of FY 19-20.


Alkemi Venture Partners led this round of funding; a Delhi-based VC focused on healthcare and consumer products, with participation from existing angel investors. The previous investors include Zomato co-founder Pankaj Chaddah, MindTickle co-founder Mohit Garg, Max Healthcare CEO Rajit Mehta, OYO New Real Estate CEO Rohit Kapoor, current and former Partners of McKinsey & Co and prominent PE investors.
