"We are getting applications through both Think Rise and 91SpringBoard. Currently, it is mostly word of mouth that is helping us. Rise Mumbai will also be hosting numerous programmes for open innovation - mentorship, hackathons, daily events, global challenges and much more. This is another way we plan to reach out to our target group. Referral remains a big source for us too as there are tons of people in the ecosystem who have been helping us," said Pranay Gupta, Co-Founder, 91SpringBoard.
Talking about the Barclays' role in this initiative, Pranay further added, "Barclays hopes to create an ecosystem of fintech focused start-ups that will help the bank solve some of its tech related problems as well as give these start-ups access to a banking culture along with the possibility of having Barclays as their first customer. They have a dedicated team whose focus is to interact with startups at the hub."
