75 Shopkeepers Clock Over Rs. 1 Cr Each in Sales During ‘Mera Cashback Sale’ on Paytm Mall
The company’s QR Codes have also supported the partner retailers in managing the ongoing festive rush by driving seamless discovery and payments for customers at their offline stores.
Paytm Mall, owned by Paytm Ecommerce Pvt. Ltd. today announced that more than 75 shopkeepers across 10 cities have clocked over Rs 1 Crore each in sales during its ‘Mera Cashback Sale’. The company expects its 30,000 strong partner retailer community to clock upwards of 5X sales during the ongoing festive sale as they embrace technology in their day-to-day business, given that they are able to receive orders round-the-clock. These shopkeepers are from a wide range of categories and belong to metros like Bengaluru, New Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad as well as cities like Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Vishakhapatnam among others.
The company’s QR Codes have also supported the partner retailers in managing the ongoing festive rush by driving seamless discovery and payments for customers at their offline stores. These retailers have leveraged the Paytm Mall QR Code extensively in their offline marketing campaigns to drive greater traffic and order volumes.
Amit Sinha, COO - Paytm Mall said, “We are proud to work with our merchant partners and contribute towards growing their overall business. This will create a level playing field, as it will equip trusted small shopkeepers to sell online and trigger a wave of retail inclusion that will touch every nook and corner of the nation.”
“It is encouraging to hear from our retail partners that they are now able to receive orders even at odd hours of the day. We are also pleasantly surprised at the scale at which our partnered stores are using our QR Codes during their festive promotions. Going forward, we will go deeper into the country and continue to expand our reach. We will continue working closely with our partners to democratize retail access for millions of customers, while facilitating more opportunities for retailers across India. This will play a key role in further strengthening the country’s retailer community and contributing towards their growth”, he added.
The company has undertaken several initiatives to empower the country’s offline retail community with mobile technology. Its 3,000 member strong agent network has on-boarded thousands of trusted retailers at a rapid pace and helped extend logistics support and GST training to equip them for the current business landscape. The company has also set up a dedicated team of 500 personnel to identify and address the unique pain-points of small retailers. This team is routinely interacting with retailers across India and acting as an active accomplice in the development of all partnered merchants. These factors have contributed towards enhancing the income of Paytm Mall’s partnered retailers and eventually led to new jobs and sustainable growth of the country’s retail ecosystem.
Paytm Mall has registered an encouraging response to its recently concluded four-day Mera Cashback Sale. It is now continuing with this sale across Smartphones, Electronics, Apparel and Home Appliances in collaboration with its partnered retailers to offer a convenient retail experience across online and offline. These sales will host region-specific offers across online and offline outlets of Paytm Mall retail partners; allowing customers to avail similar offers ahead of the upcoming regional festivals.
