In an interaction with Sujata Sangwan of BWDisrupt, Aniketh Jain, CEO and Co-Founder, Solutions Infini, shares details about his venture like business model, investment plans and future plans etc.
What initiated you to start this business?
We were witnessing an era of recession back then in 2008 wherein job security was a major concern prevailing. We came up with a thought of starting our own business as we knew the market potential for SMS was enormous and we believed in the idea firmly. We had a lot of pressure as just like normal graduated students, we were doubtful about the recession going on that time.
The idea came from our college project and since the idea was firm, we started this business soon after completing our college.
How cloud communications helps companies to grow their business?
Cloud communication is the face of present and future business communication. With cloud based data storage and extended scope of services, cloud communications provide a more reliable tool that can handle more volumes than the traditional communication systems. I believe automation and reduced time complexity are the two major parameters that has made cloud communication a technology to rely on for businesses.
What is the role of bulk messaging in various sectors?
Bulk messaging is not limited to one or two sectors, it’s the most efficient tool for information flow in for mass numbers simultaneously. Basically sectors like ecommerce, cab aggregators, food services etc. use SMS for promotions, customer /transaction authentications via OTPs wherein sectors like retail, banking, finance etc use it more transactional intimations.
Who are you clients?
We have 6000+ clients on board at the moment with bunch of enterprise clients like Flipkart, Myntra, Ola, Air Asia, Vijaya Bank, Payback and many more.
What are your investment plans?
Company will invest $2 to $3 Million in setting up own Cloud based Infrastructure and will be investing heavily in technology for scale and growth in the next couple of years.
How do you look at expansion?
We are looking forward for expansion across international markets in the coming years like china, Malaysia, Singapore, Srilanka, Nepal. Also, we will be setting up office in Singapore.
How do you help Indian startup ecosystem?
We are very active in the startup ecosystem as we have exclusive offering for startup which can be easily plugged into their application and it can also handle scale. We are extremely start up focus driven since we ourselves were a startup at a point of time!
How big is the cloud sector in India and how much of the market share has Solutions Infini captured?
Cloud sector is evolving in India at a very decent rate since a reliable and high capacity communication mechanism is the need of the hour for enterprises across India. With initiatives like Make in India, India is all set to use cloud base systems to pace up the industry. Cloud Communication market is rapidly growing at the rate of more than 150% YOY and our current market share is very small. There are numerous use cases getting developed and concept is very new in the Indian ecosystem.
What is the present status in terms of traction? What is the next big thing in the pipeline?
Our biggest achievement is that Solutions Infini will become more than $25 million company by this year end with no funding. We have been a bootstrap and profitable from day one. With more than 6000 plus paid business customer worldwide. With 6 offices and one global office we are now more than 130 people in the team.
We have processed more than 1.5 Billion SMS a month and processing more than 5 million voice calls.
Going forward, we are planning to add new products in the communication space and increase the revenue stream to diversify into new avenues in the B2B space.
